How eDiary works

From shift handover to monthly report

eDiary brings the shift log, production events and operating modes together in one browser-based application. Scroll through the key steps.

  1. Shift log

    Structured shift handovers

Team, shift type and staff present are recorded, along with samples, filtration, loading and the handover note. A supervisor reviews the entries and closes the shift.

  2. Diary

    Record events and changes

Production events and parameter changes are logged in the diary with time, process, reason and attachment. Filters by process or period lead quickly to each entry.

  3. Operating mode

    One shared, current version

The operating mode organises process information, notes, tests and to-dos by plant area. It is maintained centrally, so everyone works from the same version.

  4. Reports

Evaluate without collecting data by hand

Daily, shift, period and monthly reports are produced from the recorded entries. The monthly report also makes developments visible in retrospect.

Three areas, one continuous flow of information

Events, operating modes and shift information are available in one shared solution.

  • Diary

Document events and parameter changes with time, process reference, reason and attachments.

  • Operating mode

Current process information, notes, tests and tasks, organised by plant area.

  • Shift log

Staff present, samples, loading and handover notes for a shift. A supervisor reviews and formally closes it.

  • Integrate existing data

Connect existing databases and systems selectively instead of replacing structures that work.

  • Clearly separated roles

Reading, entering, editing, archiving and approving, matched to responsibilities.

  • Search and reports

Find entries by text, period, process, team and shift type. Reports without manual collation.

Shift knowledge that is not lost at shift change

eDiary combines the shift log, event documentation and current operating modes. Teams record information where it arises, and supervisors review handovers in a traceable way.

  • Costs: reduce duplicate entry, paper lists and lost information
  • Time: provide entries and reports without lengthy searching
  • Staff: fewer follow-up questions thanks to clear handovers
  • Browser-based, with no local installation at the workstation

  4. Review and close

The responsible person confirms the content and ends the shift.

  5. Evaluate

Filter entries, open the history and create suitable reports.

Shows or hides the answer to this question
Is eDiary only suitable for a specific industry?

No. eDiary is suitable wherever shift knowledge, process events and handovers need to be documented in a structured way. The configuration is adapted to the plant and site.

Who is allowed to close shift logs?

Closing can be tied to a dedicated supervisor role. This keeps data entry separate from the binding review and completion.

Can existing systems be connected?

Yes. eDiary draws relevant data from existing sources in a targeted way. Which interfaces make sense is clarified in the project, based on your system landscape.

Can eDiary be adapted to our processes?

Yes. Process areas, fields, roles, shift models, reports and interfaces are implemented to match your actual operations.

What is eDiary?

eDiary is a browser-based application for digital shift handovers, production events, parameter changes, operating modes and reports.

What does a reliable shift handover look like in your operation?

We show you eDiary in a relevant use case and work out together which areas, roles, reports and interfaces you need.
